I was in Target yesterday, perusing the grocery section when I came across Archer Farms "Spinach and Garlic Chicken Sausage". It looked good enough to try and had a simple recipe suggestion on the back, so I thought I'd give it a try. I set a goal of trying at least 25 new dishes on my "25 by 25 list" and this turned out to be pretty good!
1. Cook sausage on medium heat, turning occasionally, til cooked through and brown. (package said 10 minutes, but it took me much longer #DontJudge)
2. Toss with cooked pasta (I used whole wheat penne), sauteed spinach, and crumbled feta cheese.
3. Enjoy!
I can't believe I'll be 25 in just a little over two months! I'm super excited about my 25th year, and in anticipation, I recently created a list of 25 things I'd like to do before my big day!
I see these types of lists all the time, like "30 before 30" and so on, but I have been amazed at how creative some people really get with their list! Unfortunately my birthday is only a little over 2 months away, with winter fast approaching, so I had to forgo ideas like jumping out of an airplane in a pink tutu or visiting 25 countries and save those for my 30s!
My 25 by 25 List:
1. Lose 25lbs
2. Complete 25 service hours
3. Face one of my fears
4. Create a vision board
5. Try 25 new foods/dishes
6. Design a pair of shoes
7. Donate to 25 causes
8. Test drive an expensive car I can't afford
9. Get another tattoo
10. Get my hair professionally cut
11. Go to VEGAS
12. Invest in a stock I believe in
13. Start a blog
14. Learn a form of mediation
15. Stop biting my fingernails...again
16. Meet 25 new people
17. Learn new random dance
18. Take a Pole/Burlesque dancing class
19. Join a new young professional network
20. Find 1 red wine that I like
21. Get paid to do something I love
22. Get my palms read/Visit a fortune teller
23. Gain a new design client
24. Finish my personal website
25. Learn how to go thrifting ...and be good at it
Because I actually created this list a few weeks ago, I've already accomplished a few things, like start a blog...lol. What would you put on your list? share below!

Welcome to my blog about living life stuck in a perpetual state as a Twenty Something. We’ve all heard the “awkward phase” descriptions of life in your twenties. That part where you’re way too old to be a kid, but still haven’t mastered that part about being an adult. <--- yeah that phase.
My name is Latasha and today I am officially 2 ½ months away from my 25th Birthday. Yep, I’m at the pinnacle of my twenties, staring down the depressing Thirty Something roads of complaining about not being married and my baby clock ticking or the one where I hate my husband and my baby won’t shut up. -_____-
Yes, being a Twenty Something is awkward, but no one said life gets any easier afterwards. You may be broke, working an awful first “real job”, or even living in an awful apartment with an even worse roommate, but remember your twenties are special! Life is still flexible if you change your mind, boys/girls still come dime a dozen, and yes…these years will probably be the freest you’ll feel ever in your life in life (….minus that death grip of student loans)!
Enjoy being a Twenty Something! Take the lessons learned about the crabby boss, the cheating boy/girlfriend, and the backstabbing friend with you throughout life because there’s no doubt in my mind they’ll be there waiting for us again in our 30s, 40s, and beyond …smh! I hope this life/fashion/food/health/finance blog, sprinkled with some of my own personal life experiences and thoughts, helps make your twenties a bit easier and in turn the best decade of your life!
